This Friday June 26th, Ziptrek Ecotours Tremblant officially inaugurated its brand-new Jump Zone (Zone de Saut), a unique freefall experience right in the heart of the Laurentians.
The adventure begins at the end of the famous Sentier du Ruisseau (Stream Trail), following a short but short hike along the waterfalls at the base of the mountain. Once your safety harness is geared up, you will step onto the final platform of the Falcon Tour (Parcours du Faucon), which majestically overlooks the Mont-Tremblant pedestrian village.
From there, you step out onto the launch platform and take in beautiful views of Mont-Tremblant before you look down at the landing zone, located 22 meters below in the forest canopy. Thrill-seekers can choose between two types of drops:
Don't assume the first option is the easy way out: the real challenge is taking that very first step into thin air! After a brief freefall, a magnetic braking system catches you, smoothly lowering you down to the arrival platform, much like an automatic rock-climbing belay device.

Several key players in regional tourism gathered for the launch of this must-do activity in Tremblant. Present partners included representatives from Tourisme Laurentides, the Tremblant Activity Center, the Tremblant Express newspaper, as well as many resort hoteliers.
A welcoming buffet awaited guests on the arrival platform, offering a moment of relaxation before defying gravity. Excited to experience the new jumpzone, everyone joined in on the fun and leaped into the void, with more than a few screams of fear mixed with adrenaline.
"This launch is a resounding success," says Marc Menard, Site Director for Ziptrek Tremblant and Whistler.

While the Jump Zone is the resort's newest thrill, Ziptrek has been a thriving, established company in Mont-Tremblant for over twelve years.
Its signature attraction remains the Falcon Tour, a 3-hour guided mega-zipline circuit. This tour alternates between three short forest hikes, ecological insights about the local wildlife, and five vertiginous descents. On the longest lines, each stretching over a kilometer long, you can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h high above the treetops.
How to experience the Jump Zone: The Jump Zone can be booked in two ways:
If you are strolling through the Tremblant pedestrian village, look up toward the mountain; you are sure to catch the most daring visitors launching themselves from Ziptrek's Jump Zone!
