\One of Ziptrek Ecotours' core values is sustainability. We are committed to being a socially and environmentally responsible company, and we recognize that our purchasing decisions can have a positive impact on the region's economic vitality, environmental preservation, and the well-being of our community.
To uphold this commitment, we prioritize working with local and eco-conscious suppliers, reducing waste wherever possible, and continuously seek innovative ways to minimize our ecological footprint. Our tours are designed not only to showcase the natural beauty of our surroundings but also to educate and inspire guests to become stewards of the environment. By integrating sustainable practices into every aspect of our operations, we aim to lead by example and contribute to a more resilient and responsible tourism industry
Sustainable education is an integral aspect of each of our tours (along with some ziplining fun of course!). We hope that we can help others understand what true sustainability is in a fun and engaging way. Our tours are pinned on a scientific framework called The Natural Step. This framework consists of four conditions that fundamentally form the basis of a healthy system. As our expert guides move through our tours they expand on these conditions and explain what we are doing and more importantly what you can do to help save our precious planet!
THE NATURAL STEP CONDITIONS
“Sustainable practices will ensure a healthy future for our enterprises and human society”
Condition 1: “In a sustainable society we only take what nature can replace”
Condition 2: “In a sustainable society we make only what nature can process”
Condition 3: ‘In a sustainable society we avoid breaking nature”
Condition 4: “In a sustainable society everyone’s needs are met worldwide”
As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices, Ziptrek Ecotours is proud to be listed in Pages Vertes (Green Pages), the directory of responsible companies in Quebec, with an environmental distinction. This recognition highlights our dedication to minimizing environmental impact, supporting local communities, and maintaining the highest ethical standards in our operations.
Being featured in Pages Vertes means that Ziptrek adheres to rigorous sustainability practices, such as reducing our carbon footprint, conserving natural resources, and ensuring fair and ethical treatment of our staff and partners. Our participation in this initiative is a testament to our ongoing efforts to lead by example in the ecotourism industry, contributing to both the protection of our natural landscapes and the promotion of responsible tourism across Quebec.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
At Ziptrek Ecotours, we are committed to protecting the natural environment and minimizing our impact on the landscapes we love to share with our guests. Our Leave No Trace policy is built on the principle that every action we take should preserve the beauty and integrity of the ecosystems we operate in. This means that we prioritize sustainability in every aspect of our tours, from the construction of our zipline courses to the daily operations of our business.
THE SEVEN PRINCIPLES:
The Tremblant team had another amazing season in 2024, zipping guests from all over the world through the breathtaking landscape of Mont-Tremblant. What many guests may not realize is that their adventure also gives back to the local community. Through our donation programs, particularly our GoPro rental initiative, we are proud to have raised $6,200 to support local causes.
For every GoPro rental, $5 is donated to organizations that make a meaningful impact in the region. This year, we are supporting the following initiatives:
Each season the company supports various initiatives and fundraisers by providing in-kind donations (tour gift certificates) to a variety of organizations. Some of which include: Canadian Culinary Championship Ottawa, Fondation Tremblant, Patrouille Mont-Tremblant, Camping Lac Des Plages, Défi roule a fond, Tourisme Laurentides, Fairmont Tremblant, Pride Ride 2025, Fondation ICM, Ultimate Tremblant, Centrade Laurentides, Nourri Source, Fondation Charles Bruneau, Fondation Ressources pour les Enfants Diabétiques, Nature Canada, Concertation Jeunesse, Centre de prévention suicide Faubourg, Hôpital St-Eustache,Golf le Maitre,,Chevalier de Colomb, Sacred Child.
In the spring of 2023, 2024, and 2025, Ziptrek had the privilege of welcoming families from Maison de la Famille du Nord, totaling 150 participants, to enjoy our zipline course for free, representing a value of $21,000. Maison de la Famille du Nord is a valuable resource for the Tremblant community, and Ziptrek Tremblant was honored to share this experience with them.
